Cut Weapon Mods Restored Fallout 4
Assuming you're talking about the two patches in the old files section on the See Through Scopes' page, I'd recommend against using them entirely. They were created with a very old version of this mod at this point, and I expect those patches to be wholly incompatible with the changes I've made to this mod since then. From the description given, not having the patches won't have a significant impact on your game, anyway. All that'll happen is that instead of the sights/scopes from both mods showing up on random weapons, you'll just get the ones from whichever mod you load last, and you'll still be able to craft the sights/scopes from both mods at a workbench. You could easily create the patch yourself in FO4Edit, but you're not really losing out on much if you don't. The best I can say is that they're partially compatible. It looks like AMAW is mostly compatible, you'll just lose any fixes/changes I made to vanilla weapon mods, and mods that require new categories like the Broadsider receivers won't show up on the AMAW versions of weapons. And my mods won't have the original weapon they're for in the name. With EMW, you won't be able to put mods that require new categories on the vanilla weapons, and none of my mods will show up on NPCs.This likely depends on which version of the mods you use, so your mileage may very, but this is what I've been able to work out just by downloading the main files of those mods and looking at them with my mod in FO4Edit. Ah, sorry, I meant to say something about this but got caught up in trying to deal with installation issues.I'm not doing patches anymore because they utterly kill my motivation to work on updating and releasing my mods. Especially for things like VIS where there are so many different versions that it's hard to account for all of them, or AWKCR where it's just been turned into a bloated buggy mess.
Issue with cut weapon mods restored - posted in Fallout 4 Mod Troubleshooting: So I really screwed up and installed cut weapon mods restoreds new version without following the update instructions and it has broken my game (CTD on startup), I also deleted the old version so I dont have it, does anyone have 2.5 so I can fix my game?
Home of video links, blogs, reviews, and more! Cut Weapon Mods Restored After seeing the Marksman's Stock with a bipod in a loading screen, I thought I'd see about implementing it as a new weapon mod. In the process, I found a short Marksman's Stock, so I thought that I would fix it up, make another version of it with a bipod, and then implement all three stocks as new mods.
I understand if this is disappointing, but patches are a necessary sacrifice if I'm to keep working on my mods. Going forward, I'll only provide patches for my own mods (because I need to do that for myself anyway) and High Poly Vanilla Weapons (because that's just meshes, and is easy for me to do).I might be able to find the last versions of the patches in my files if you give me some time to look, but I can't make any promises on that.
I ran into this same issue, with the error message;Error registering this mod: Cut Weapon Mods Restored - Cut Weapon Mods RestoredError: Version string portion was too short or too long.I compared the files for this and the combined mod (which also gave me that error) to your other mods which I was able to download with no problem; the difference that stuck out to me was that your other mod versions are all #.#, while this and the combined file are both single digit version #s. I could be grasping as straws, but since it's an error with the version string, I figured I'd mention it?. I wouldn't be surprised if AWKCR ended up breaking mods like that, it wouldn't be the first time. That Alien Blaster mod or another mod could have a wild/dirty edit that causes the problem, but you'd only know that by checking in FO4Edit.

You could try going back to an earlier save to see if it's just your current save that's got the problem, but you'd more likely have to try disabling mods until you found the problemEither way, there's nothing I can do to fix it, the main plugin for this and the AWKCR compatibility patch don't touch anything related to Plasma Gun barrels, and the two barrels you mentioned work fine on my side.
