Alternatively, check your touchpad driver’s settings to see if it lets you set scrolling to three or four finger scroll. The default setting in Windows 10 doesn’t support this particular customization though your touchpad driver, especially if it’s a Snaptics driver, might support it.

Please note that Device Settings tab appears only if the touchpad driver is installed on your PC.Step 4: Under Devices, select Synaptic Touchpad and then clickSettings to open Properties for Synaptic Touchpad.Step 5: On the left-side, expand MultiFinger Gestures, checkTwo-Finger Scrolling option and then click Apply button. This morning, I decided to make the jump to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1, and I have to say, the design looks simpler to use, but this new OS software has done something with my touchpad. Originally, on my Windows 8.1, I was able to scroll through whatever web pages or folders in my computer with one finger using my touchpad.

With this new update, initially, I thought it broke my touchpad completely, but the problem has been narrowed down to having to now use two fingers to scroll in the most awkward way as this touchpad doesn't seemed to be designed for two finger scrolling. Is there a way for me to change this back? Would I have to revert back to Windows 8.1 to get my one finger scrolling back?The laptop I am using is a Gateway NE56R34u, and the touchpad is an ELAN.
