Crusader Kings 2 Mod Folder
Be absolutely sure you have the most up-to-date version of Crusader Kings II on Steam. Delete the House Irae folder in your /My Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings 2/mod/ folder. Unzip the latest version to that same directory. Uncheck ALL mods in the launcher except for House Irae. Restart the game. First I installed like usual, manuelly (saving zip at Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings 2/mod; all the old versions worked without any problem, and yeah, I deleted the latest version). After it failed, I installed it via Steam Workshop, but it's still the same crash. NMIH, the only other mod I installed yet via Steam Workshop, works. Oct 06, 2017 Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/mods is where the mods go for PC users. Or point the game to the right mods folder on the right drive as defult is C drive Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/mods.

Edit (added after writing the lower part).Actually what do you mean with 'mods are disabled'?How does it show?Create a 'mod' folder in the CK2 folder in Documents, then quit and restart Steam.As long as you haven't installed a mod manually or via Workshop the Mod tabwill of course be grey. I recommend to start the game via Steam Library.-OneDrive is known to cause problems occasionaly.
